Make a Wish..... Happy Birthday, Dad!!!

Image
My Mom asked me to make her 2 cards with this cutie.. This is a digi from Mo's Pencil .  The first card I followed Sketch #188 Over at Cute Card Thursday .  Card #1      Cardstock is PTI Aqua Mist, the  DP is SU Bermuda Bay. The sentiment is SU "Friendship Blooms."  I colored with Copics and shaded with Pebbbles Chalks. I added some Primas , the fancy flower is from the "Chantilly Collection"  Card #2  Close up    I'm also going to enter the "Anything Goes" challenge over at   The Paper Shelter .    Today would have been my Dad's 76th birthday. My Mom, daughters and me, will be sending him some balloons this afternoon!!  Then we will be having Tacos and playing some games.  Now, my Dad always said he did not want to play, but he would ALWAYS be yelling out answers, then we would eventually get him to play along with us!!!   I miss him so much!!! Just hanging around....

Thought I'd make a boy card today!! It started out as a paper piecing card for the Phindy's Place challenge this week, but it also fits the Color Me Creative Challenge.                Phindy's is a Paper Piecing challenge , and the CMC is to feature Boys.      The digi is called "Just Hanging Around."  I used SU Pacific Point card stock and DP. The ribbon is also Pacific Point.  The sentiment is from  SU "Crazy for Cupcakes." I used the SU Circle and Scallop Circle punches, which I pierced.  I added a tiny bit of bling, even though it is for a boy!!     I also added some white button breads for his buttons on his bibs. I also pieced the dog collar.  I shaded with Pebbles chalks.      I just might make cards all day today!!  Tomorrow is my Dad's Birthday. He would have been 76.  My daughters, Mom and me will be sending off some balloons for him.  Then we are going to have Tacos for dinner and play some cards!   I just love when they

The Chill of winter.... and Eggies

Image
Isn't this guy cute??  He is from Designed2Delight , called "Snow  Dog." The Saturday challenge over a D2D , calls for cute critters, the 4 legged variety. You can't see any of his legs, but I'm thinking that he has them!!      The sentiment is an SU "It's Snowtime."   The dp is "Winter" by Creative Memories.   Card stock is Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, and Gina K Pure Luxury White. I colored with Copics.       The Snowflake is an SU item too that I layered and added Stickles and a gem brad for some added bling. For any of you who have seen the ad for "Eggies", here is my story!!  Sometimes I have a hard time peeling hard boiled eggs, other times, not so hard.  I decided to buy some "Eggies."  Well, there are 4 parts to each one. You have to oil them with your hand or paper towel. Then you place them in warm water and bring to a boil for a certain amount of time.     After the time is up, you take the

The Three B's....

Image
Friday's challenge over at Fussy & Fancy Friday is The Three B's : Black, Border Punch & Bling . Here is my take on it!        The digi image is from Stamping Boutique , called Frog on Pumpkin . I did not color the image. My daughter Jenn did!! I think she did a very good job. She has made many cards, but not too many with coloring! She colored it, then went on to other things!! Like a new job!! I decided to do something with it, so I whipped up this for the challenge. It's got the Black, the Bling and the Border punch. It is a Martha Stewart Punch, the Bling is stick on gems and Stickles. (The bats are stick on too!) The paper is of course, Black, Gina K White and Only Orange. Fr ont view  Close up      I was also going to enter it for the Fall/Halloween challenge there, but didn't realize it ended last week! ha ha..    I found a new challenge blog, Fab N Funky   from Debbie over at her blog: Coastal Creations .  I'm entering over

Your FRIENDSHIP makes my heart HAPPY.

Image
This week I decided to play along with Mo over at Mo's Digital . The challenge is to use your   "Favorite Mo image PLUS a sentiment".     This darling image is called "Make a Wish".  Isn't she adorable??  I decided to distress most of the edges. I added purple flower brads in all of the corners.  The little flowers in the dp kind of look like the dandelion fluff in the image, don't they?  The dp is by K & Company, "Jubliee", and the card stock is Pretty in Pink. The sentiment is from SU "Friendship Blooms."  I used Melon Mambo ink.                       I colored with Copics and shaded with Pebbles Chalk.     I couldn't decide which background I liked better, so I decided to post both. The top one I photographed on my dark purple pillow, and this one on my lavender bedspread.  Just can't seem to get my pictures to come out how I would like them!!     Well, today is my day off, and I'm going to take m

Also added some ribbon with silver threads in it. Snowflakes                               Well, I hope you enjoyed my BLUE card.                          (Well, OK, it had PURPLE in it too!!!)

I'm baaaack, again!!!  I have just been busy with working and generally feeling lazy and no creativity!!   My Mom arrived on Tuesday to stay for 2 weeks. Yesterday was her birthday, and she went with me, my daughter Cristine & BF Kris to watch us bowl.  I actually had a 150 game!!! I got the holes made in my ball made a little bigger, and it really helped.  We were tied for 2nd place, but we lost one game last night.  Hopefully that doesn't ruin our standing too much!!   We did have fun though..  We will celebrate my Mom's birthday on Saturday, so that Jenn, my other daughter can join us for dinner. She has a new job and works the pm shift, but will be off on Saturday.  I've got to get my knee injected, but have to wait for 4 weeks!! Bowling will be half over by then...    Ok, so here is my weekly Designed2Delight card.  I guess I like getting FREE things, so that's why I have been participating every week for about 6 weeks now. You should check it

Check out the site.  You need to purchase the first digi image, but as long as you post it to your blog before the following Friday, you receive the next Friday Freebie for FREE .  I'm not really excited about my coloring! They are pretty purples, but I just couldn't get a good picture!!  The little flower started out as a big one, but I ended up cutting the outer layer off, and I have it on Dimensionals.     The "Thanks so very much" is from Gina K, "Framed Greetings." I added a lot of bling to the card with Stickles. The paper is the Purple from the Gina K Pure Romance collection.   The DP is from SU, but can't recall the name.  I used the circle and Scallop Circle SU punches.  I also sponged around the edges with Lovely Lilac.     This is a border that is in the "Hope 2011" set.  I stamped "Thanks so much" from Gina K &qu

It was in my scrap bag.  I colored with copics and shaded with Pebbles Chalk.  I took the picture outside on the deck for a little fall color.     Today is my first of 2 days off.  I start a fall bowling league tonight with my daughter Cristine and her BF Kris. It only lasts for 13 weeks, and we actually get a free bowling ball and bag.  I already have my own, so I will get a gift certificate to use in the Pro shop.  I haven't bowled for quite some time, so I hope I do well!!   I'll let you know!!!

Cards, food and more cards!!

Image
The cards I'm talking about today, are playing cards!!!   My daughters came over on Saturday and we played cards.  We started out playing Rummy.  I actually won 1 game. Cristine won the other 2, and unfortunately Jenn, didn't win any..Maybe next time, Jenn...                                                           Cristine, Jenn       So Saturday morning, I was watching "The Pioneer Woman"   on the   Food Network.  She made Twice Baked Potatoes. I have never made them before, so I gave them a try!  These are them before they went into the oven.      I forgot to take the picture after they came out of the oven (Guess I won't make it on a food blog!!), so here are 2 leftover ones.  They were yummy!!  I will make them again!       Here is my salad.  Every one's was a variation of this. Neither daughter likes mushrooms, Cristine doesn't like tomatoes, Kris doesn't like peas.  I never got to eat mine, as I was busy with the steaks. So

World Card Making Day!!

Image
I don't think I ever participated in World Card Making day before.  I have 2 !!  The first one is a Designed2Deligh t digi. I made a different variation of it about a week or so ago.  The name is Autumn Harvest. The sentiment is an SU from the set "Give Thanks." The cardstock is Real Red and Only Orange. The dp is a miscellaneous one with pumpkins. I added Stickles to the flowers. The sentiment is stamped with Real Red. I colored with Copics.  I'm going to enter this one over at Phindy's Place for this weeks Fall Challenge.                                                          Here is a side view..........     This next card I made for my Grandson Hunter. It is another Designed2Delight from a few weeks ago, "Falloween Cat."  Cardstock is the Purple in the Gina K Romance Collection.  The dp is called "Jubilee" by K & Company. I love it!! I colored with Copics and added some Stickles.                 Hope you enjoyed my co
