Come see the Fairy Grama!!!

Image
A couple of weeks ago, I found a new digi site (to me),   JustInkLined .  I just couldn't resist this Fairy Grama. Isn't she a hoot???!!            I colored her with Copics, shaded with Pebbles Chalk, used my fancy Creative Memories Corner punch. The dp is Kaleidoscope by K & Co. I just love it!!      I added some flowers, brads and bling.               Of course, we must not forget the good 'ol Stickles!!          I hope you enjoyed my Fairy Grama!!   I will definitely have to color her up again!!   I almost forgot... the sentiment is from SU. I do not remember the name.  My fellow stamper, Cindy G , stamped a bunch of them up for me.      I'm entering this at Color Me Creative Classroom . The challenge was to color hair a non-traditional color or multi-color.  I colored her hair blue.     I just finished helping my daughter empty out her storage unit and bring it to my parking garage. We got it all in 2 van loads. (Heaping van loads!)

Christmas Snowman

Image
Finally...I have colored again!!  This is a cute little Snowman from Designed2Delight. I don't know why I continually color the images before thinking of the layout I will use.  I had the hardest time picking a background dp for this.  It seems the Christmas papers didn't match right, none of the greens matched, neither did the turquoise ones.  So, maybe I will remember, next time...pick layout first, then color!!   I used Copics, my Creative Memories Corner Rounder, SU circle and Scallop circle punches.  The sentiment is an Inky Antics stamp.     Yesterday was our family Thanksgiving.  This is me and my Mom cutting of the making for our Polish Dressing. You either like it or hate it!! It has the giblets (liver, heart, gizzards, neck) plus carrots, eggs, celery, onion, bread and seasonings. I have loved it all my life.  I remember getting up early in the morning to help my Grama and my Mom make it.    Here are my 2 beautiful daughters, Cristine & Jenn.  My Mom

Colors of the sea....

Image
Many months ago I won blog candy from Gina .  I am finally coloring up one of the stamps!! There were a lot of stamps in that box of blog candy!!  Check out her blog: "Makings and Musings."   She actually used a Sweet Pea Stamp today.     This image is available at Sweet Pea Stamps .   It was designed by Ching Chou Kuik, but I could not find the name of this particular stamp.      This is a perfect image for the challenge over at Color Me Creative Classroom , titled  "Colors of the Sea."     Cardstock is Tempting Turquiose and Gina K Pure Luxury White.  I embossed with the Cuttlebug and sponged with Tempting Turquoise ink. Image was colored with Copics and shaded with Pebbles chalk. I added stickles to make her scales shine.    Hoping you can see the bling!                              I hope you enjoyed your visit to the "sea" today!! Come back soon!!

Red...Poppies...

Image
This weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday   is for this past Sunday,  Remembrance Sunday .  Our card is to be made with the color Red , or to feature Poppies.   Mine has both.   I have always loved this SU stamp from the "Oh So Lovely" set.    The image is colored with Copics, shaded with Pebbles chalk, and Stickles were added for a little sparkle.  I used a Nesties Scallop, added Primas and ribbon.  The dp is from K & Co. Designer Mat Pad by Susan Winget.  It goes perfectly with the poppies!!  I also used the Bow Easy for the first time!! I definitely need to practice, but I think it turned out ok.     I didn't do very well at bowling this week!! I only bowled my average of 130 for one game out of 3... Oh well, maybe next week!!

Pink..pink...pink

Image
This weeks challenge at the Paper Shelter ,   is called All in Pink.. How do you like Little Miss Gilly??  She is caroling away all dressed in pink!! She is a Prairie Fairy digi, called "Gilly's Caroling."  Card stock is Pretty in Pink, Blush Pink, a misc. green, and the dp is DCWV Christmas.  I colored with Copics, and embossed all of her fur with pink powder.  It probably would have looked better in white.  Now that I see, I should have colored her book in Green!!  That's what I get for coloring before I choose my paper!!   I think this paper is just perfect!! Thank you for visiting!!  Come back soon!!!

A card for Hunter and my baby's 30th Birthday!!

Image
I didn't make this card, my daughter, Jenn, did. She made it for her son, my Grandson, Hunter!!     She did an awesome job!!   She heat embossed the sentiment as well as the dump truck.  Both stamps are by Great Impressions.    I'm going to post this in 2 challenges, Sassy Cheryl's, "Emboss it" and Stamps R Us, "Masculine."      Tonight we had Cristine's Birthday dinner. She picked Fondue..  Main course: Beef, Chicken,Shrimp, Scallops, veggies  Cristine & Kris   Dessert:  Banana bread, pound cake, fruit   Jenn   Me   Me & Cristine Happy Birthday!!!  (30)

Happy Thanksgiving

Image
Here is a Thanksgiving card, I thought I would just feature the sentiment.    This is an SU stamp, "Autumn Harvest."   I'm sure the dp is SU, but I'm not sure of the name.  The inks are Dusty Durango and Close to Cocoa. I colored the little acorn with Prismacolor pencils. The card stock is Really Rust, and a misc. called Deep Desert Dune. The white is of course, Gina K Pure Luxury.  I added some fibers and Primas with brads.    Last night was bowling, and also Cristine's 30th Birthday!! She is my youngest. We are going to celebrate on Saturday with Fondue!! It is her favorite birthday meal!!  I started it years ago, and the tradition continues.  I will definitely post pictures!!!

No black lines....Please

Image
No black lines...Please..   That is the name of the challenge at    Prairie Fairy . So, I stamped this Great Impressions "G289" with Bashful Blue ink.  I colored with Copics, and added a whole lot of Stickles.  The paper is DCWV Christmas.  I thought the ornament print went well with the hanging ornaments in the image.  Then, I remembered I got the Ornament Punch a long time ago from SU.  Haven't ever used it!  I stamped the "let it snow" with Brilliant Blue. It is from a Penny Black set, "Holly Day Critters."   The "falling star"  image is from Elzybells. The card stock is Brilliant Blue, Ballet Blue and Old Olive.    It was definitely different not stamping with black ink. I thought snowmen would work the best, since I usually outline them in blue.  I'll have to try this again with another type of  image.  Others seem to be able to do it well, I guess I should be able to do it too!!       Well, I got my right k

A Thank you....

Image
This weeks challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is "Just saying thanks."   I bought this digi quite some time ago, but this is the first time I have colored it.  I have so many buttons to use, I thought this card would be perfect!!          I colored with Copics, shaded with Pebbles chalk, added some Fibers and the buttons.  The sentiment is SU "Warmest Regards", stamped in Elegant Eggplant. I used a Nestie to cut out the image and sponged the edges with Lovely Lilac.  I really would have liked to put a dark border behind it, but that was the largest Nestie I had, and it wouldn't have fit on the card anyway! I also used the oval and scalloped oval punch.    Hope you like it!!           I just got done working Fri, Sat & Sun. I did get to sleep in an hour early today though, due to Daylight Savings!  It seemed strange that it was so light on my way to work.   It was pretty busy in the morning, but the afternoon was kind of slow, so I got to finish re

Lovely Tree

Image
Last weeks challenge at Designed2Delight was this cute Tree stamp, called "Lovely Tree."  Check out the challenge over there!!       The card stock is SU Really Rust and Tangerine Tango. The dp is Basic Grey "Sweet Threads."  I colored the tree with Copics, and punched out some hearts with a Creative Memories Heart Punch.  The sentiment is from SU "Warm Words." I also used the plain and scalloped oval punches.   It is a cute stamp, isn't it??     Well, tonight is bowling again!!  Let's see if I can top last weeks high game of 188... I'll let you know!!    I know I'm a little late, but here are a few Halloween Pictures!!!  Some are scary!! My daughters went to a Halloween Party (theirs are the scary ones!!)   Cristine & Kris Jenn & Cristine They went as murdered Camp Counselors from Camp Crystal Lake in one of the Halloween or Freddie movies.  Cristine made their T-shirts.   This is me and Anna at work. Finally..a One Layer Card!!

Image
Here is a one layer card!! I hardly ever make them.  I just never think of it! I'm always thinking more is better, therefore my multiple layers!!      This is a Stamps Of Life stamp by Stephanie Barnard, called Joy 2 Christmas (This set is from Nov. 2009).  Inside       Gina K, Stamp TV's Free For All Friday's   challenge this week, is  "One Layer Christmas Card."    The Saturday Inspiration Challenge at SCS is based on images at The Blue Carrot Shop .    My inspiration was this bowl, except I used BLUE .       Sunday was my Dad's 76th Birthday.  I wanted to post pictures of us sending him balloons to heaven!!   Jenn, Cristine, Mom   Cristine, Mom (with the Blue)  Mom, watching (Yellow is Cristine's, Green is Jenn's, Orange is Hunter's) Me with Purple, of course!!
