Time well spent.....

Well, today is my day off. The last 2 at work were pretty busy. Suprisingly, only a couple of people came in thinking they had the Swine Flu!! (They did not.) Almost every patient I took care of in the Emergency Department, did, however get admitted. One patient on the phone said he was going to call the White House and his Congressman because I wouldn't order an MRI and other tests for him.(11:30 pm on Saturday night.) He swore at me and then hung up.

So on to better things!! Today we will be going to Noah's Preschool Graduation and then to a Spaghetti dinner.

Today I made a card for SCS Featured Stamper Challenge. I'm happy with how it turned out!

Ink: Black, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Stickles, Fibers, Dimensionals
Nurse Joke of the day:
You might work in an ER if...

You can identify the "P.I.D. shuffle" at a distance of 15 feet and the "Kidney Stone Squirm" at 20...
You've ever had to contend with someone who thinks constipation for 4 hours is a medical emergency...
You've ever entered a patient's chief complaint as "I'm drunk"...
You've ever had a patient with a nose-ring tell you "I'm afraid of shots"...
You stare at someone in utter disbelief when he or she actually covers his or her mouth when coughing...
You automatically multiply by 3 the number of drinks they claim to have daily...
You feel that you can diagnose passersby at the mall based on physical presentation...
You don't have to ask "frequent flyers" any medical history questions because you can fill it out from memory...
You can keep a straight face as the patient responds "Just two beers"...

2 Cards, 3 Challenges!

It was my day off today, so between loads of laundry, I managed to get 2 cards done!! This card was a Sketch Challenge SC262 I decided to use a variety of colors! Pacific Point, Pixie Pink, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Grey "Sugar Rush" & Gina K Pure Luxury. Ink is Memento Black & Pacific Point. I added a paper flower with a silver brad and a piece of scrap ribbon. I colored with Prismacolor Markers. Stamps are SU For a Friend, Penny Black "Bubbly" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This card was 2 challenges in one! Sketch Challenge SC263 and Color Challenge CC254 . The colors used are: B ashful Blue, Soft Suede, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla, Basic Grey "Sugar Rush" dp. For "dessert", stripes. These aren't colors I use very often, so it was very challenging for me!!! The dp seemed to have all of the colors I needed in it!
