2007 card to now, 2011

For some reason, I just haven't been able to make anything for several weeks now.
I thought I would go way back... and post a picture of the very first card I made in 2007 and posted on SCS in my gallery to see how far I've come!!  I went to a Stampin Up "Stamp a Stack" day.  It was fun, and I guess I got hooked!!
    Here are 2 of my favorites that I made in the last few months. (2011)

I think I've come a long way, but still have a lot of room for improvement in my coloring skills.   I hope to get my mojo back soon!!!   Thanks for looking!!!

OH, I have had the very same problem making things the past few weeks. My mojo had disappeared and I must have put it in a very safe place since I have been unable to find it.

You cards are fantastic, especially for your first one! I love the flower one...your colorigng is awesome on all of them.

These are great cards even if they were your first ones. You'll get your mojo back. I do that too, lose it and find it again when I least expect.

wow. your first card turned out WAY better than the first card i ever made!! i never took a pic of it (thank goodness)! hope you get your mojo back soon. i certainly know what that feels like!

I am so with you, I made two weeks worth of cards so I could pre-post while I was traveling and for some reason they cards all came easy,since I had reasons to make them, but now nothing :( Maybe it is the summer season....? You have come along way and I think your cards are perfect, even your first one, wow for a first time it is wonderful. Love the third one, I really need to do something funny. TFS

Hi Cindy!

Sometimes I found it helpful to go back to basics, so to speak, and find that thrill I had when I first began. Your first card was very good and you have come a long way baby! (Wait, that line was an old advertisement for Virgina Slims). But you really have. Perhaps a break or even doing something differant will help get the mojo back? I have an idea for you! How about baking cupcakes? I would be more than happy to be your tester! LOL, you know I'm kidding! But honestly, I'll be here when you return no matter if you post a project or just to say hi! Enjoy this warm weather!

Secret Sister #4 Unusual Fold card

Here is my Secret Sister Challenge #4. We were to make a card with an unusual fold.  I'm not sure what this fold is called. I have made it before, but this time seemed a bit more challenging!!  I hope you can tell that it is PURPLE!!   I hope my SS likes it.  I did emboss the flowers, sponged around the edges and added bling! She does like bling!! The paper is SU Lavendar Lace, and Gina K Vibrant Purple. I used Stephanie Barnard's the Stamps of Life , Thanks 2you, for the flowers, and Banners 4all for the "hi". This is the partially opened position. I added 2 Primas and a rhinestone brad. This is the open position. I hope my SS likes this one. I LOVE the colors myself!!! Here are the dimensions if you would like to try the card yourself. 1.Cut an 8-1/2 x 11 peice of cardstock in half lengthwise. 2.Score at the dimensions marked.
