Our Title Acronym stands for:  D ivine,  I nspirational,  V irtuous, A rtistic (or Annointed) sistahs! Our group originated at SCS back over 2 yrs ago and has recently branched out to the new FB group.      Our blog hop showcases cards made with items that we’ve had “stashed”.  An  “oldie but, goodie”  that we’ve pulled out and blown the dust off of to create something with it.         So please join us as we journey along the way to discover some hidden treasures we’ve had tucked away that we’ve designed just for this special occasion with many more to come!     This month's hop starts out right HERE !!!  (Me)    I have created 2 cards..because I forgot and used dp that I just got!!! Kind of forgot about the old stuff!!  Everything else  is old, old, old!!!  These are both SU sets, Branch Out and Scene in a Garden. Ink is Memento black and Chocolate chip. The dp is DCWV "Pocket full of posies." The  card stock  is Papertrey "Plum Pudding."

Here are a couple more cards I made on Saturday, using my Cricut.  It's fun, now that I've tried it a few times!!     Card stock is Pretty in Pink and the Purple & white is  from Gina K.      This next card is a note card that I turned inside out. I used a Martha Stewart Border punch, sponged the front with Cameo Coral and added the sentiment which I "shadow cut". The dp is a Martha Stewart paper, Punch pad.                                    Hope you enjoyed your visit today!!!

I was on a roll Saturday!! I actually whipped up 4 cards!! Here is my second one. This is a Meljen's digi.   The challenge there this week is about LOVE. I think my love for our great country, the USA, qualifies!!    I colored with Copics, the dp is called "The Liberty Collection" by Bo Bunny. This is the first time I have used paper by that company. The card stock is Brilliant Blue and Real Red. I used my Creative Memories Corner Rounder.   I added some buttons with twine. I also used the Bow-Easy again!!   Maybe I should have printed the digi on a vanilla or a kraft paper, now that I'm looking at the card!  It's kind of a bright white!!

Buttons & Bows

I love snowmen!! This little guy is a digi by Sassy Cheryl.    He is called the Flat Bottom Snowman. The challenge this week over at Cute Card Thursday, was  #202 Buttons & Bows.       I think he is adorable!!  I even used my Bow-Easy again!! I think I'm finally getting the hang of it! I added buttons instead of his charcoal buttons! The dp is  Martha Stewart Holidays. It has "Snow Days" written on it, but I couldn't really get it to show. It also has red, white and blue mittens. I cut one of the red mittens out so you could see it. I colored his mittens to match.  I also just got some "Doodle twine" from Doodlebug Designs that I used.  The ribbon is by SU.  I thought it went perfectly with his stripes on his mittens. Card stock is Brilliant Blue, and of course, Gina K Pure Luxury White. I used my Creative Memories shape maker to cut out the circles, and the CM corner rounder.      Hope you enjoyed your visit today!!  I made 4 cards ye

Finally used my Cricut!!

I got my Cricut about 6 months ago, and finally tried it today!!  I wasn't really patient, so all I managed to make were some hearts and this "Love" sentiment.   I know the card is lame, but I thought I'd go for a Clean and Simple!! I'm going to enter it at Stamps R Us , their challenge is Valentine/Love.     This next card is a Phindy's digi, called Bug Buddy.  The challenge was to use the inspiration photo for our creation.  I went with the color red , as well as the ladybug. The challenge over at Fussy & Fancy Friday  is "Polka Dots."  Over at Crazy 4 Challenges , the challenge was "Layers & Embellies."  Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week was "Punch & Shimmery."    Card stock is Yoyo Yellow, Real Red & Gina K Pure Luxury White. The dp is a miscellaneous piece from a mat stack. I used SU Scallop and Oval Scallop punches. I added some stickles for the sun, and put some highlights in his hair.  The

Soup!!!

Image
I haven't been too crafty lately, but I have been cooking!!!  I've been into soup!! This first soup is the family recipe for Vegetable soup with meatballs.  I kicked it up a notch by adding barley, corn and pieces of beef. The key ingredient is Allspice. My Grama always put in whole, I used both whole and ground. It was very tasty!! (Gram put in 20 whole allspice. I added ground, not sure how much, just keep adding until you like the taste.)   Just make sure you don't eat the whole ones!!!  Yukkkk    Here is my next "creation."  I added Butter beans, Dark Red Kidney beans and Black beans.  I added the ground allspice plus garlic, parsley, and Five spice powder.  It turned out more like a stew instead of a soup, but still yummy!!!     Next is my Chicken Vegetable soup. It has chicken breast and thigh pieces plus chicken meatballs.  The veggies in all soups are celery, onion, carrots, mushrooms, potatoes.  I added some chopped red cabbage to this one,
