Birthday, food, Anniversary!

Yesterday was our nephew Mason's 1st Birthday!! I made my own Edible arrangement to take to the big party!! I forgot to buy some Kale, so I used Green Leaf lettuce. It was full of Cantaloupe, pineapple, red grapes, blackberries, & strawberries, some were chocolate covered. It was yummy! Here is the card I made for Mason . I used my new Whipper Snapper Critters by Anna Wight (which is signed by her). The paper is SU Cable Green , Wild Wasabi , Provo Craft dp, and PTI White. I added some fibers , colored with Prismacolor Markers , and outlined with Pebbles Chalk. I also used this card for one of SCS Sketch Challenges . Tuesday will be my SIL-BIL 30th Anniversary . So yesterday morning, I whipped up this card for them. I think it's a hoot!. It is Murray & Ethel by Rubbernecker stamps. Murray is actually holding a birthday cake with flaming candles, but I covered it with Green Primas. Gail's favorite color is Green. I used SU Wild Wasabi , Cable Green

Todays Color Challenge at SCS was using these 3 colors: Tangerine Tango , Summer Sun & Pacific Point . My step-DIL, Kari, borrowed me the "Just Buzzin' By" set, and it is perfect for these colors. I colored with my Prismacolor Markers and added some yellow stickles. It was quick! Good thing, too, because I have to now get ready for work. I have a 12 hour shift today! Hope everyong has a honey of a day!!!

I made my own Faux Denim paper!!

This was a fun challenge on SCS today! Making your own denim look paper. I used Brocade Blue paper, then used Ballet Blue ink and rubbed it vertically down the paper length. Then again using Night of Navy , then again with White (Pigment ink). I then heat set it with my Embossing Heat Tool. Next, you turn the paper 90 degrees and do the same process again. I used SU The Free & The Brave Stamp set. I stamped the Eagle/words in black on Kraft paper, then stamped it again with Night of Navy on PTI White paper, and cut out the Eagle. I added it with Dimensions to the Kraft paper. I stamped the Sentiment with Night of Navy. I then used my Creative Memories Star Punch to cut of 3 stars. To the larger Star I added a White clip and silver brad, and Stickles to all of the stars. It was fun!! But if I do it again, I will definately wear gloves!! All of my fingertips on my left hand are blue ! Today I had a Cardiac Stress test, since I have been having

I've been busy all week getting 40 Baby Shower Invitations made for a co-worker. The first picture is blurry, but you can see the different variations I made. I used my Cuttlebug for the Swiss Dots on PTI White paper, and cutting out the scallops with my new Nestabilities. I added some Stickles around the scallops for a little bling. I added brads to the bottom corners. Some are Button brads, some are just square. The first 1/2 I did all of my coloring with my prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I wasn't really happy with how the baby's skin looked. So, of course, I asked for suggestions from my fellow SCS'ers. Most suggested Copics, and a few other suggested Prismacolor Eggshell. So since I already have a set of Prismacolor markers, I got one in Eggshell and used that for the faces. (And it was $1.00 cheaper than the Copics) I just love how they turned out. I also colored the clothes with the markers too. I was suprised at how fast the coloring went, and how nice an

I finally organized my designer paper!

Wednesday I started the day off with being very dizzy with position changes. I went to work and hoped that one of the ER docs could help me out. I just got dizzier and began throwing up, so my husband had to pick me up and take me home. I went to the Doctors office on Friday and was diagnosed with BPV (Benign Positional Vertigo). It is an inner ear problem that causes a spinning or whirling sensation when you move your head. Back in the day, that would happen after a few too many alcoholic beverages!! I had this about 5 years ago and it lasted almost 2 months. I have a Physical Therapy appt next week, so hoepfully that will help a lot. (It did in the past.) So today, since I can sit and make some movements without getting nauseated, I thought I would sort out my Designer paper! They are not in any particular order, but my SU is in the front, I have Creative Memories in the middle, and Miscellaneous print and solids in the back. This will help a lot when making a card and knowing the
