Post #2 for today-Nurse's Week

This week is Nurse's Week. Wednesday I worked a 12 hour shift, and I got a very big surprise!! I was sent a beautiful Edible Arrangement from someone very special to me!!
It was actually for me AND my fellow nurse's!! Here is a picture of it, and a few of my co-workers. The picture isn't very good 'cause it's from my camera phone. (Thats me, 2nd from the right.) The fruits were Oranges, Honey Dew Melon, Cantaloupe, Red Grapes, Strawberries, and Chocolate covered Strawberries and Bananas covered in 1/2 White Chocolate and 1/2 Milk Chocolate. They were very yummy!!!
My Mom sent me this card in the mail.

The inside says:

Even as a child, you sensed when others needed care,

You tucked in sleepy dolls and tended ailing teddy bears...


Today it makes your family proud to see the work you do,

Because it shows the caring that's so much a part of you!

                               Well, it's that time of the month again!!                The Design DIVAS Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop, that is!!   Our blog hop showcases cards made with items that we’ve had “stashed”.  An  “oldie but, goodie”  that we’ve pulled out and blown the dust off of to create something with it.      This card was actually made more than 6 months ago, so it is definitely an OBG!!!  Sorry, the picture isn't the greatest!!    The stamps are all  SU: Both Way Blossoms, Love ya Bunches and Itty Bitty Backgrounds. The Card stock is  from Papertrey,Aqua Mist,  which ws put through the Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), SU Shimmery White and the dp is SU Everyday Blessings. Hello Kitty-- See my new "do"!!!

Thursday will be the last day for our PM Secretary, Ann, in the ER where I work. She is retiring after 35 years!! She is a Hello Kitty FANATIC !!! I found this free digi download at http://www.hellokitty.com/ . It was actually a whole coloring page, but I just used the main image. I found a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff at Target in the $1 isle, including this bag. I filled it with the goodies, plus a Halloween jar filled with her favorite, Candy Corn. I found a cute little Hello Kitty stuffed toy too! I colored the image with Prismacolor markers, and used my new Crop-A-Dile to attach an eyelet to the inside so that I could hang the Hello Kitty Ribbon. She does not know it, but there was a collection taken up and we got enough money to send her to New Zealand for 5 weeks in Nov-Dec to see her daughter and 3 grandchildren. Her daughter has lived there for 11 years, and she has not even seen the 2 youngest kids yet!! I'm sure she will be very surprised!!! Well, I wen
