Happy Graduation

Image
My Co-worker and friend, Mary graduated on Saturday with her Master's in Nursing. I volunteered to make her card.  I knew that I had  a Girl Graduate stamp.  This is an Elzybells stamp I got when they were going out of business. ( The sentiment too.)     I love Elzybells!!!     Mary's gown and hood was going to be Apricot in color, s o I went with Groovy Guava Cardstock and dp. I made it several layers. She is stamped on Gina K Pure Luxury and colored with Copics.  I added Groovy Guava ribbon and some Primas.       What a great accomplishment, Mary!!!  She started working for us part time about a year ago.  Her and her husband just had a new home built, and she is going to Italy in August!!!  (I think that is her graduation gift!!)  We are giving her a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage!!!

Birthdays!!

My first card is an Elzy Bells's that I bought several month ago when there was a clearance sale.  I don't recall the name. I stamped the image on Gina K white Pure Luxury, then stamped again and colored with Prismacolor & Copics. I popped it up on Dimensionals, added the balloon ( Crazy for Cupcakes ), the sentiment is from Stampendous .  I added a little dimensional dragonfly I got at Michaels a few days ago. All of the K &  Company embellishements were 40% off. I shaded the sky, grass and road with Pebbles chalk, and added some Sakura gel pen to the chrome, hubcaps, and balloon.  You can't really see it in the picture!!      My next card is a Digi print from Mo's Digital Pencil  a few days ago as well. Isn't she adorable??  She doesn't have a name, but I'm calling her Rebecca !!    I colored her with Copics & Prismacolor markers. Added some shading with my Pebbles chalk, and added 2 Primas with brads....

Here is the most recent picture of my husband Tom and me, with our grand kids! We went out to dinner to celebrate his birthday and our DIL Kari'sBirthday. The kids are from the left: Hunter (4) he belongs to my daughter Jennifer. Brooke(4 mos.) belongs to Tom's son Jason and his wife Kari. Calla (18 mos.), Noah(5) belongs to Tom's daughter Hattie and her husband Tim. After dinner we all went to Culver's for Ice Cream!! I'm on vacation this week, but have only gotten 1 card done so far. We babysat for Calla & Noah for 24 hours, so my time was taken up a little! My Mom asked me to make Birthday card for someone who likes cats. (She doesn't) I used Tempting Turquoise, Pretty in Pink, and Creative Memories DP. I had this piece of lattice already cut out. I colored Fluffles with my Prismacolor Markers and Added some stickles. The Happy Birthday is a misc stamp. I added a gem for the "i" dot. I really need to watch more tuto...

Challenges-Featured Stamper & Color

Today I had lunch with my daughter Cristine at Panera. We had a good time. I gave her the souveniers I brought back for her from Alabama. She liked them! Then I went for my 30 minute massage. I just had one last week, but I really needed it. I keep most of my stress in my neck and shoulders! Then I made a trip to Michael's . I found a few $1 Stamps from Studio G , some Rhinestone stickers , $1 ribbon (like I don't have enough) and a couple of new punches . (They were 40% off). So I came home and got busy. I made 2 challenge cards today. Baby Brooke did come home today! Her Daddy had to put her swing together, because she didn't like sleeping in her new quiet room!! My first challenge card was the Featured Stamper of the week, "Justpaintingaround" on SCS. Recipe: Stamp : Studio G $1 Paper : Lovely Lilac, Pink Pirouette, Pink Passion, Shimmery White, Cloud 9 "Palace Walls" (Sparkle Cardstock) Accessories : Primas, brads, Rhinestone stickers, Nesti...
