My Second Favorite Card

I haven't had time yet today to make and post a new card, so I'm showing one I made last year. It was my favorite until I made the card I posted yesterday! This card was made with Papertrey Paper (White, Aqua Mist & Everyday Blessings), Dotted Swiss Ribbon, and Aqua Mist Ink. The stamp set is SU Both Way Blossoms. I colored with Prismacolor pencils & Gamsol, added red stickles for some pizzaz! I also used the ticket corner punch & Button brads. I sponged around the edges of the white card stock and added some opal stickles for extra sparkle.
Well, we are supposed to have a winter storm later today. Hopefully I'll get to create something new.

I'm so glad to be participating in this months OBG hop!! I haven't made any cards for about 3 months!! Posting on my blog has been lacking too!! (P.S. Limited Supplies Challenge & my sewing attempt!!

This was the Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS from yesterday. We were to make a card for someone we love, using the colors of Red , White, Black and Pink . Also to incorporate polka dots. I love Black & White cards!!! I just don't make enough of them!! The inside of the card has a white piece of cardstock, and I've stamped Happy Valentine's Day in black ink. Paper: SU Black, misc dp, Gina K pure luxury. Ink : Melon Mambo Accessories : Nesties, Cuttlebug, ribbon, primas, brads, Prismacolor Marker Next was my attempt to zig-zag stitch on paper. This was my 3rd attempt!! I still couldn't get it right. I was using the hand control instead of the foot pedal, so maybe that was my problem! Plus the thread kept breaking!! This was one of my Christmas presents, a Singer Quick Fix Complete Mini machine. I really wanted to get the zig-zag right!!! The straight stitch was ok. Aly's Sketch Challenge #2 (for me)

I thought I would try Aly's Sketch challenge this week. I just LOVE Snowmen!! Especially with their carrot noses!! Recipe: Stamps: SU Warm Words, Great Impressions(H109) Ink: Memento Black, Real Red Paper: SU Garden Green, Gina K White, Anna Griffin dp Accessories: Stickles, Prismacolor markers, Creative Memories Corner Punch, Oval & scallop oval punch, Holly leaves, Berry Brad, Ribbon Today I did more Christmas shopping. I am almost done!! Nothing is wrapped of course, but that is the easy part!! I have 12 hour shifts on Monday & Tuesday, then I'll be off for 7 days!! Yayyyy!!! Work has been going well. I've been full time Telephone Triage for 4 weeks now. I started training a new RN last week. That will make 6 of us full time, but we need at least 10 more Nurses yet, before we can completely separate from the Emergency Department. Who kows when that will be.
