A while back my Mom's dear Friend 'Lane sent me check that was really unnecessary , and I wanted to return it to her, so I made a card out of it!! I used the Creative Memories Flower Punch to make the flowers and leaves. The paper is Lovely Lilac and Pixie Pink . I used a butterfly stamp, but don't remember the name of it. I forgot to take a picture of it when I made it, so when we just visited her last week, I got to photograph it. She thought it was a hoot!!! This weeks Design D*I*V*A*S Secret Sister Challenge was to make a purse! So I went to MelStampz and made this purse gift card holder from the many templates she has available.! I plan to make another and "perfect" it. The top wasn't supposed to be creased, but I couldn't get it to stand up without creasing it. aggrrrhhh !!! Finally, I've gotten the last 2 Design D*I*V*A*S S.S. challenges done!! The first one was to be a Christmas Card Box type ornament. The picture isn't the greatest, but all of the Red flowers have Red Stickles on them, so they are very glittery!! Well, I wasn't too crazy how the tutorial flowers were, so I made my own using some Nesties and the Cuttlebug with a Brad in the middle. Well, finally I've gotten a few cards done!! With being on my little vacation and working, AND getting addicted to FARKLE (Facebook) I just haven't had enough time!! If only I didn't have to work!!! I'd have more free time!! ( I wouldn't be able to eat, live in a house, buy clothes or pay for crafting supplies either, so I guess I better keep on working!!!) My first card is a Secret Sisters Challenge card #1, making a non traditional card, so I chose a Gate Fold card. It is much prettier IRL. You can't see the added sponging to the white areas, and the Dp is really cool!! Well, my short little vacation is over!! My BFF Rebecca and I went to San Francisco for 4 days. The weather was beautiful, in the high 70's, no rain, no fog!! Of course, I downloaded the pictures backwards!!. This first one is my Dungeoness Crab at Nonna Roses's on Fishermans Wharf. It was delicious!!! This is me at Muir Woods!! Just look at the size of the trees!! It was breath taking!!! Here is Rebecca & I. We went out to a club called Asia SF. The "lady" waitresses are really "boys". They lip synched, but were great at dancing on the Red Bar right across from us. They were absolutely gorgeous!! The food and drinks were awesome!! Here is the Golden Gate Bridge. Just awesome!!! Here is the Fishermans Wharf sign. Our Hotels back door was just outside!! We had a wonderful time!! We did tons of walking. Rode the Cable Cars, Trolley and took lots of cabs. Thursday will be the last day for our PM Secretary, Ann, in the ER where I work. She is retiring after 35 years!! She is a Hello Kitty FANATIC !!! I found this free digi download at http://www.hellokitty.com/ . It was actually a whole coloring page, but I just used the main image. I found a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff at Target in the $1 isle, including this bag. I filled it with the goodies, plus a Halloween jar filled with her favorite, Candy Corn. I found a cute little Hello Kitty stuffed toy too! I colored the image with Prismacolor markers, and used my new Crop-A-Dile to attach an eyelet to the inside so that I could hang the Hello Kitty Ribbon. She does not know it, but there was a collection taken up and we got enough money to send her to New Zealand for 5 weeks in Nov-Dec to see her daughter and 3 grandchildren. Her daughter has lived there for 11 years, and she has not even seen the 2 youngest kids yet!! I'm sure she will be very surprised!!! Well, I wen...

I was in Wausau this weekend with my Mom. She had a stress test on Friday, since she has been having some chest pressure. The test came out normal , so it is probably just a lot of stress and anxiety. She also got me a new "Sister", Trixie !! She is a TeddyBear (Part Bichon Frise and Shitzu. She belonged to my daughter Jenn's friend, and she couldn't keep her anymore. Her name was Roxy, but my Mom changed it to Trixie. Isn't she cute?? She took her in and had her groomed and they put in these cute little pink ribbons! They didn't stay in long though! Trixie and me!! She has her new rawhide bone in her mouth, which she loves!
