Here is a card I made for Hunter, my Grandson. He starts 1st grade next Tuesday!! I can't hardly believe it!!! There was a Phindy's Place Challenge , which was to make a card for something new.  1st grade is definitely NEW!!!  I did color the image with copics, did a little shading with Pebbles chalk. The cardstock is a piece of misc green. Don't ya love the dp??  I've had it for years...  Hunter doesn't have curly hair at all, but it is his color! This is a piece of misc dp I have also had for years. I put this inside on the bottom of the card.  I hope he likes it!!   Thanks for visiting!!!

Butterflies.....

Image
I just love Butterflies!!!  I saw this challenge over at Color Me Creative Classroom   and thought I have the perfect stamp for it!!  The theme of the challenges is "WINGS".    The stamp is by Stamping Bella, called "Flutterby".  I decided to make 3 versions. I decided to add the pretty Recollections Gemstone Butterflies for some added bling! The first one I colored the little flowers with Copics in the blue range. The sentiment is in Pacific Point, "hello" by the Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard.   This sentiment is "Thank You", SU Warmest Regards, stamped in Elegant Eggplant,   colored with Copics in the Purple range.   This sentiment, "Thinking of You" is also SU "Warmest Regards", stamped in Melon Mambo, colored with Copics in the pink range.       It is hard to see in the pictures, but I have added stickles to all of the flowers. I guess I would consider all of theses to be CAS, Clean and Simple.  I ha

2 Challenges today!

Image
Today's card I'm entering into 2 challenges. One is Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge , where you are to use 3 or more embellishments.  The other challenge is Friday's  over at Designed2Delight . It is the weekly image challenge, using the image of the week.    This is a Designed2Delight image that only cost $1.00... Check out the blog  to find out how you can get the image.    The paper I have used is  SU Perfect Plum, Gina K Pure Luxury White, and Basic Grey Sweet Threads dp.  I've added a Prima, 4 brads and some glittery ribbon.  Not very fancy, but it was what my mojo allowed today!!       Yesterday my daughter, Cristine and I went to a Spiritual camp, and each saw a medium, clairvoyant.  I think her reading was much better than mine.  She gave her good news about her career, and her relationship.  The most exciting thing was that she said that her Grandfather on her Mom's side is very proud of her. That is my Dad!!  Cristine never even brought him

Encore Presentation....

Image
I was browsing for a new challenge today and came across    Stamp R Us Challenge , Encore Presentations. To enter,  use a card you had previously posted on your blog or in a gallery (no back linking) and the winner will be invited to be a guest designer for a future challenge.  I thought it was a great chance to revisit this darling in "Summer by the Sea"   that I made a few months back.  I always liked this stamp, and love that ribbon.       This is a Stampin' Up stamp. I believe the paper and ribbon are all Riding Hood Red. I used Prismacolor pencils, Pebbles chalk for shading. The sentiment was punched out with the Oval punch, and mounted on a piece punched by the Scalloped Oval punch. I also used the Corner punch, and then added some bling.       I hope you enjoyed my "Encore presentation."  Now to get on to something new!!

This is big for me!!! 1 card, 4 challenges... This is a new Phindy's Place digi image. It is called "Flower Top Fairy Mushroom Minx".   The base is Orchid Opulence, the image is printed on Gina K Pure Luxury, mounted on Green Gable. I dry embossed Groovy Guava with my Cuttlebug. I believe the folder is Swirls. I shaded with Pebbles chalk.  The flowers I colored with Copics RV55 & RV 66 and attached them with yellow brads.   I used Creative Memories Corner Rounder to round it all out. Here are the challenges: Phindy's Place : Anything goes, but must be a Phindy's image. Hook, Line & Sinker

Ok, so I know this card looks more "girly" and for a girl, but I made it last week for Hunter, my 6 year Old Grandson.  It was supposed to remind him of me!!  He liked it anyway!!   This is a Gina K stamp set, "Quite a Catch." I colored her with Copics, added some stickles, (Silver and Purple, although, they look black in the picture.) The paper is Bashful Blue, and some misc print. I stamped some bubbles all around, and shaded with a little blue Pebbles chalk. I also used a Nesties Scallop Die.  Yesterday, I was "allowed" to visit with Hunter for 4 hours.  We were at the local park and they have a train engine there from 1911.  Hunter wanted silly faces!!   Here is Great Grama and Hunter, while we were at the Zoo. It can take a whole 20 minutes to walk through their Zoo. I'm waiting for the day I can take him to a REAL Zoo, like Brookfield in Chicago or even the Milwaukee Zoo.  He will be totally amazed!!   He brought some bread with to f

Shots....anyone??

Finally, I have made a card!!!   I have been in such a slump lately. I saw the challenge last week friday at GinaK, and was going to add this, but it's too late now. This is a Gina K stamp, "Nurse Feelgood". I used the Red paper from the Gina K Romance collection, and of course, the Pure Luxury white. I made my own dp with the shots!!  Nothing fancy at all!   I did get another card made too, and again nothing fancy. I'll post that in a day or 2.  I' ve been spending too much time on Facebook playing Cafe World. It's almost time to give it a break, because now it is like a chore, instead of a game!!     Good news...I get to go see my Grandson Hunter this Friday.  My Mom will be meeting us also. I will get to spend a whole 4 hours with him...  (I'm atually going to court now to try to get to be able to have him for 3 days at a time on one of my weekends off per month.) Long story...but I am hopeful.  Now I have to take what I can get!!   I love him
