Todays card fits 2 challenges that I found yesterday. StampTV, Gina K Designs ,the Free For All Friday  challenge was to use Kraft paper. The other challenge I found was over at  Cutecardthursday.blogspot.com , that was also to use Kraft.       This is a stamp by River City Rubber Works , called "The Girls" (1480-M). I stamped with Chocolate Chip on the Kraft paper.  The edges were torn and sponged with Chocolate Chip. The dp is by Basic Grey "Sweet Threads". I added 3 different ribbon colors and some Primas.  The sentiment is also River City (4103-D or G)                                                                Close up                                                          Sentiment I don't use Kraft enough, I enjoyed this. No coloring needed!!

Hunter's 6th Birthday Party!!

Image
Yesterday was Hunter's 6th Birthday party!! I whipped up this card 20 minutes before I had to leave.  I was going to buy him one on the way (huh???) and make him one to get on his actual birthday. But at the last minute I knew I just had to make one!!  This is a Stamping Bella, colored with Copics, the paper is Gina K Pure Luxury White, SU Glorious Green, Basic Grey "Sweet Threads". I added the balloon brads (6 of them), and the sentiment is a miscellaneous from CeeDee's.                       There was so much chaos at the party during present time, that he hardly looked at any of the cards. Auntie read mine to him ,  though.  The "perfect Dad" and "fake" step-Mom, had no control over anything. Kids kept giving Hunter their present to open, he wouldn't even look at the cards to see who the present was actually from. It was total chaos!!   I'm not perfect, but when kids take time to make their own birthday card and it just get

My Longest, oldest BFF, Mary Lou, her youngest daughter Amanda is graduating from High School. Her color looked like Navy Blue from the invitation/announcement.  I used my Copics, shaded with Pebbles chalk, Used Brilliant Blue CS, the dp is SU, but I don't know the name of it. The sentiment is from  Elzybells, which I stamped in Brilliant Blue. Added some glittery Primas.  For her tassle, I took a strand from the tassel on the invitation/announcement and used it to make a tassle, added a button brad. (The only white one I had.)   This image actually prints out about 7" high, her whole body, and I could not f

Happy Graduation

My Co-worker and friend, Mary graduated on Saturday with her Master's in Nursing. I volunteered to make her card.  I knew that I had  a Girl Graduate stamp.  This is an Elzybells stamp I got when they were going out of business. ( The sentiment too.)     I love Elzybells!!!     Mary's gown and hood was going to be Apricot in color, s o I went with Groovy Guava Cardstock and dp. I made it several layers. She is stamped on Gina K Pure Luxury and colored with Copics.  I added Groovy Guava ribbon and some Primas.       What a great accomplishment, Mary!!!  She started working for us part time about a year ago.  Her and her husband just had a new home built, and she is going to Italy in August!!!  (I think that is her graduation gift!!)  We are giving her a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage!!!

Well I only had to sit at the courthouse for 3 hours. Didn't get picked at all for jury duty!  I was kind of looking forward to it..  Oh well, maybe in 4 more years???     My Mom is still pretty sore for her accident yesterday, she is just lucky that nothing more serious happened, just sore muscles.....      Today I have to ride the bus to work!! We are having a new parking ramp built, so if you don't have at least 25-30 years seniority, you have to park elsewhere and take the bus!! I've only got 11 years under my belt... It's only about a 5 minute ride, but the hassle of getting to the parking lot, walking to the bus stop then from the bus stop to work, and then again after work!!    OMG, I'm going to get exercise now!!! ha ha.... I just hope I get the times right, so I don't miss it!!              Friday's challenge at Gina K's  was a "Free For All- Make Your Own Designer Paper." I stamped the Gina K Pure Luxury with "Branch

It was hilarious!!! I have never laughed so much during a movie!!! I haven't been able to give Jenn a hug for 3 months, so our time was great!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Image
Happy Mother's Day  to everyone!!   I am working today, but will be going to my youngest daughter's today with my Mom.  Cristine is making us dinner!! (I think we are having crab legs!!)  yum yumm...      Here is the card I made for my Mom...  I'm sure she will like it!!  It is a Phindys Place digi... All of my paper is Gina K.. From her Romance collection. I colored with all Copics, added some flowers (can't think of the name, and the pkg is at home), I rounded the corner with one of my favorite tools, the Creative Memories Corner Rounder...          Hunter even called me today!!!  I don't think he specifically knew it was Mother's Day, but I have tried calling him 2 nights in a row and told his father in my message that I WOULD be calling again tonight.  He did wish me a Happy Mother's Day!!  I'm so sad that he won't even be able to speak to my daughter, his Mama, because the Dad won't let him.  Hopefully that is all going to change!

OK, here I come!!

Image
This is  Nina Brackett Digi.  It looks much prettier in real life!! Paper is Gina K White Pure Luxury, Vibrant Violet, SU Lovely Lilac.  I used a fancy corner maker from Creative Memories. Added bling to each corner. The Sentiment is from Gina K "Sending Sunshine" .  The tag is a Nesties, but I got it from Gina K .   I colored with all Copics, added some Silver Stickles for a little shimmer.      Well, you don't hear me talk much about my Grandson, Hunter.  That is because I haven't seen him since Nov 20, 2010.  My daughter divorced his Dad in 2009.    She has had some problems and she thought it best to give full custody to the Dad in April 2010.       The Dad is so angry and bitter, at my daughter, that he won't even allow me to see Hunter.     I had my attorney send him a letter asking to have Hunter one weekend every other month.  He said "no". I asked him to let me have Hunter for   my Mom's Suprise 75th Birthday part
