Someone call a Nurse?? Is that you, Miss Belle??

Image
Here she is....Nurse Gillian... She is ready with the shot and the bedpan!!! Which one do you want first???   Nurse Gillian is a digi from Prairie Fairy Designs .  Isn't she cute?? She is printed on Gina K Pure Luxury cardstock. Paper is Melon Mambo cardstock &  DP. I used Copics &  Prismacolor markers, and added some Red stickles for bling!!   Now who could possibly mind that cutie coming with a shot?? OK, so I thought I would add Miss Belle here too!!  She is from Bug-a-Boo digital stamps. This was a Sketch Challenge on SCS.     SCS324   She is printed on Gina K pure luxury (of course), I colored her with my Copics & Prismacolor markers. Added some Primas and some paper piercing.  The sentiment is from Stephanie Bernard-the Stamps of Life- HappyBday2You.  I colored her the other day, so haven't gotten to use my new Copics that came yesterday! Well, thats it for now!!!

Well, this is Charlotte !!  She is enjoying her nice, relaxing bubble bath!!   I wonder what she is drinking, maybe a Cosmo or a flavored Martini?? Charlotte is from Prairie Fairy Design . She was one of the many images I colored on Sunday...The white cardstock is Gina K Pure Luxury, SU YoYo Yellow, and the dp is a piece of scrap Creative Memories. I thought it looked like it had bubbles on it.  I colored with my Copics & Prismacolor Markers. I added "bubbles" with some Blue Stickles, and added a premade flower.                      Here is a close up of her bubbles. I ordered some Copics from Dick Blick a few days ago, and they just arrived yesterday.  The ones I have is a set of 12 SKETCH markers.  The new ones are regular. I think I will like both!!  I kind of tried them on a piece scratch paper, and they seem ok. So, I hope I like them!!!    I was too tired last night from work to play!!       One of my friends at work, Sally, and I signed up today

Coloring,coloring, coloring!!!

Yesterday I was off of work. I was in the coloring mood, so I brought my markers (Copics & Prismacolor), plus a clipboard, and camped out in my recliner and colored about 8 images.  I haven't put them all together yet into cards, but here is a start...        This is Veronica, by Mo at Mo's Digital Pencil  .  Isn't she a hoot???  I wish my body looked like hers!!!  Anyway, the paper used is Gina K white Pure Luxury & Vibrant Violet, SU YoYo Yellow and Pretty in Pink. I added some bling and 2 Primas and a brad.  I did the shading with my Pebbles chalk.   Here is a close-up of her face.            I really enjoyed all of the coloring I did.  It was much more comfortable in the recliner, than sitting at my craft table...  I think I will be doing more in the recliner!!   I watched a couple of movies, and then Army Wives...   If anyone watches Army Wives...... OMG........I cried my eyes out!!!

DD Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop

Image
Welcome to the OBG Blog Hop .. (This month it is a week later than usual) You should have arrived  from Shelly's blog .    I hope you enjoy mine!!!       I had fun making this card.  Haven't inked up this stamp for probably over a year!! It is "Summer by the Sea", (SU) The Paper and Ribbon is " Riding Hood Red ."(SU). I added some shading with Pebbles Chalks, and some "stick on" bling. I also used SU Oval All and Scalloped Oval Punches.  The sentiment is from an unmounted set I have had for years from CeeDee's stamps.         I knew those shells would  come in handy someday!!!    I would have preferred a different Red for coloring, but this was the closest I could get to the Riding Hood Red with my Prismacolors. I have ordered some more Copics, but haven't gotten them yet.   I didn't realize that the Copic set of 12  I recently received are the SKETCH markers.  I do like them, but I think I would prefer the original with th

Birthdays!!

My first card is an Elzy Bells's that I bought several month ago when there was a clearance sale.  I don't recall the name. I stamped the image on Gina K white Pure Luxury, then stamped again and colored with Prismacolor & Copics. I popped it up on Dimensionals, added the balloon ( Crazy for Cupcakes ), the sentiment is from Stampendous .  I added a little dimensional dragonfly I got at Michaels a few days ago. All of the K &  Company embellishements were 40% off. I shaded the sky, grass and road with Pebbles chalk, and added some Sakura gel pen to the chrome, hubcaps, and balloon.  You can't really see it in the picture!!      My next card is a Digi print from Mo's Digital Pencil  a few days ago as well. Isn't she adorable??  She doesn't have a name, but I'm calling her Rebecca !!    I colored her with Copics & Prismacolor markers. Added some shading with my Pebbles chalk, and added 2 Primas with brads.  The little sentiment is from "

Get Well !!!

Image
I guess I have been in the mood for get well cards!!!  This card is actually for another co-worker who has been out for about 10 weeks already.  She had some big surgeries, and she loves Pandas and Green!! SO I hope that she likes this.   This is a Whimsy Digital stamp by Meljen's Designs.   The "Get Well" stamp is from Gina K, Nurse Feelgood . I used a black Prismacolor pencil, because I thought a marker would just be too dark.I did use my new Copics for the other colors. I added some bling. The solid cardstock is some miscellaneous stuff that I had, not sure of the name. The DP is Creative Memories ..      My next card was a sketch Challenge on SCS today. It was SC323 , click here to go to the Gallery.  The paper is all SU Lovely Lilac, Gina K white,  the stamp is " Nurse Nellie " from Stamping Bella .  I colored with Copics and Prismacolor markers, and added some stick on bling, and Stickles. I used used a Nesties die cut. Well, I hope you lik

The final challenge was open, we could make what we wanted..  This is a digital stamp from Phindy's Place , and her name is Mrs. Comfy.. Isn't she a hoot??? I used Copics & Prismacolor markers to color my image. I added a little bling to her sweater and slippers. The paper is SU Cottage Wall, Kiwi Kiss & Blush Pink. I then added some SU ribbon, and a few Primas and brads.   Here is a close up. I think I actually did pretty good on my coloring this time!!  I just wish my pictures would turn out better!!       I hope to get my SS package out today.. I sure hope she likes my stuff!!! My vacation is going to be over soon... :o(     No trip this time, but it was just nice being home and doing what ever the heck I wanted to!!!        I heard that one of my co-workers was in an accident on Sunday morning, and needs surgery to repair a broken arm. She will need plates and

Secret Sister #5-- Die Cuts

Image
Secret Sister Card #5 is done!! We were to make a card using a die cut of some kind.  This is a SU set, "Peace Within". I colored with Prismacolor markers and a Copic or 2. (I only have a set of 12, so my Copic colors are limited.)   The paper is all SU Pacific Point, DP & Cardstock. The white is of course, Gina K... I added Pacific Point ribbon and some bling. Oh, I used Nesties, but don't know the name of the dies.    I hope my SS likes it!!       I had a migraine again today. I can't count how many I've had in the last month!!!   I was doing so well, too!  My doctor said it is the barometric pressure changes. They have had a lot of patients in the last month with migraines.  I've had them for 29 years, but they have been much better in the last few years...       My life has been very stressful the last month, so I'm sure that adds to it...   My divorce was to be final next week, now it looks like it won't happen. We are at a stalema

Framed Greetings

Image
My first card didn't turn out how I wanted at all!!  I sponged Almost Amethyst & Lovely Lilac, but then I went and colored the butterfly Blue and the flowers Pink.  What was I thinking??? I was trying to make my card just like Theresa Momber's card .  I love the colors of hers...So I continued to make it anyway, only working with pink and black. Paper is Pretty in Pink, Black & Gina K White . I used a few of the new Copics I just got, but I also used my Prismacolor markers. Then I cut it out using the Nesties Lables One, that go perfectly with Gina K's "Framed Greetings".   I added Black satin ribbon and added rhinestone brads. Well, I started again, and this time I really like how it turned out. I again sponged Almost Amethyst & Lovely Lilac, then stamped with Memento Black. I colored with my Prismacolor markers, then mounted my image on black and just cut in a square as Theresa did. My Taken with Teal isn't exactly the color I wanted, but

Secret Sister #4 Unusual Fold card

Image
Here is my Secret Sister Challenge #4. We were to make a card with an unusual fold.  I'm not sure what this fold is called. I have made it before, but this time seemed a bit more challenging!!  I hope you can tell that it is PURPLE!!   I hope my SS likes it.  I did emboss the flowers, sponged around the edges and added bling! She does like bling!! The paper is SU Lavendar Lace, and Gina K Vibrant Purple. I used Stephanie Barnard's the Stamps of Life , Thanks 2you, for the flowers, and Banners 4all for the "hi". This is the partially opened position. I added 2 Primas and a rhinestone brad. This is the open position. I hope my SS likes this one. I LOVE the colors myself!!! Here are the dimensions if you would like to try the card yourself. 1.Cut an 8-1/2 x 11 peice of cardstock in half lengthwise. 2.Score at the dimensions marked. Here is what it looks like when scored. I cut the contrasting color 1/8" smaller.  This card has a circle that

Scrapping Weekend!!

Image
This weekend was my Scrapping weekend. My BFF Rebecca joined me. She has never scrapped before, but she did an awesome job!! She made a scrapbook for her son of his Marine Career. I know he will absolutely love it!!  I managed to scrap 36 pages of Christmas (2008/2009), and 17 pages of the year 2003. Now if I can only keep up on a regular basis, maybe I can catch up!! This is Rebecca.        There were 100 women who attended this time. It is hosted by a Creative Memories Consultant, Sherri.  She has them twice a year, once in the spring, and another in the fall. I haven't attended for 2 years, guess that's why I'm so far behind!!!  I would say about half of the women this year, were digital scrappers instead of traditional.  I may do digitial in the future, but I have so much invested in papers and "stuff" that I need to continue on!!     Now I need to get my last 3 Secret Sister cards done, so they can go in the mail next week...  Luckily I am on vacation

do you like the new look of my Blog???

How do you like the new look of my blog now???  I think it is awesome!! I went to Shabby Vanity, and it was designed by Madeline!!

A Spring Thank you!!

Image
Secret Sister Challenge #3...Make a Thank you card in Spring Colors.  When I first learned how to do this lattice technique, I made quite a few of them, so I thought I would  use one of them for this card. Image is SU, "A Kind Word", the sentiment is Gina K "Framed Greetings". Paper is Bermuda Bay, Barely Banana, SU dp, & Gina K White. I colored with Prismacolor pencils, shaded with Pebbles Chalk, added some bling and a gorgeous Prima!!!  Isn't it beautiful??? I added a little bit of Stickles to it for some shine! I stopped at Target today, and found these pencil holders, all on clearance , for $2.18 each!! I bought them all!!          I would love to have them on an angle somehow, but haven't figured that out yet!!          Today was our 1 Year Anniversary at work!! We separated from the Emergency Department 1 year ago.  We have grown a lot since then.  We had a little party. I had the day off, but went in anyway and took my Mom with. We
